from Wuhan, China

This is going to be a short blog as I am typing with one hand ... it will be no surprise to anyone that in my usual klutz fashion have managed to damage my thumb and it is now a swollen black mess & consequently bandaged up with splint in a sling – lets hope the Alien gets it's co-ordination from it's father!!!

We are having a great time here in Wuhan - as you can see from the photo "Uncle Happy" as he is now known, has taken on the roll of human see-saw and we are enjoying hanging out and fitting in a bit of relaxation!

This is not to say we are not getting out and about, Fiona took Nicole to the Wuhan International Woman’s lunch, Dan and Mark have been thrashed at snooker, we marvelled at Dan’s soccer debut game for his company and all had a great day out at Eastern China’s largest inland lake!

And we have been taken to the favourite shopping haunts … our DVD collection has multiplied at an alarming rate and we have wandered around shopping malls, markets and supermarkets in awe at the products on offer (Mark still hunted down some Worcestershire Sauce)… though we are often the subject of as much curiosity (the Chinese have no qualms about staring!).

I am being summoned to read bed time stories so will post this now…
